Major responsibilities include:
Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
Responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel in the Accounting Department.
This individual recommends training requirements and has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives. Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
Coordinates and directs the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts. Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate and other applicable taxes. Responsible for accurate and timely submission of all monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end financial reporting. Furnishes internal reports and external reports and revises and updates reports as necessary to be more useful and efficient. Keeps the General Manager informed of Division’s performance and provides advise on all financial matters.
Coordinates the Division’s Information Technology Services. Works with Corporate’s Information Technology Services department to ensure the security and reliability of the Division’s IS resources. Asset management, in particular the inventory at all stages of product completion, accounts receivable and cash, ensuring optimal utilization of the Division’s assets. Maintaining financial integrity of the organization including oversight of internal control processes and internal auditing procedures.
Responsible for management of working capital including credit and collection.
Assist in establishing and maintaining product-pricing policies.
Analysis of both strategic and tactical activities of the Division
Experience in manufacturing operations 5 + years.
With working knowledge of MS Office Products, Excel, Outlook, and Word, (Max MRP experience a plus, but not necessary).
Position requires a level of knowledge that is associated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and three years’ experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP Solid understanding of standard cost accounting processes and procedures, including the development and monitoring of standard costs.
Solid understanding of inventory management including monitoring and control of shrinkage and obsolescence.
